Power Corrupts

"Power which love and service FIRST"

A power is a concept by the rate of doing work or producing or expanding energy. Power is just one way to keep on--but it is an important and fascinating one. In every time we exerts energy and effort, we do have power. Mainly with great power comes great responsibility as Spiderman's quotation. However, misuse of power leads us in deterioration hound to corruption.

"With great power comes great RESPONSIBILITY"

Power is good when we use it with leadership. Power is right when we use it with love. Power turns bad when we put it in our hands. power turns wrong when we use it to the weak.

In a society or community, someone holds power. Someone we trusted and we hope, who is willing to serve and not to be the boss who sit only on the job, not just to command but also to show to everybody that in his or her hands we believe that change and progress happens constantly.

 In the school premises, we have student leaders in every organization and they hold powers but that power being bestow to them is to work for best, work with equality and work with accountability and not to exploit and corrupt the trust been showed.

Student leaders’ feet should always be in the ground level and humility must be in their pockets, in times of crisis, they have medicine for preserving their values. Values that they hold on from the first place they receives the power in their respective positions.

Great leaders nowadays may really be blinded by powers, and it’s really a sad thing. But it is sadder when they already knew the truth and right yet they choose to be blinded to meet their own interests. Power is our strength. We can have everything we want because of power. However, true love cannot be acquires.

Well, we should constantly put in our minds that power is a great accountability to be use in a just and righteous way. We should portray ourselves being great leaders because if we hone it here in the university, then we can handle power more outside the school where many people needs a great leader who use power wisely, honestly and not to be corrupts.
